I don't understand this trend bashing "Friends". The show aired a couple of years after USSR's dissolution, & back when smoking in planes was a thing. You can't take it out of its era & judge it based on today's standards. It never aimed at being anth other than 'light' & funny.

And no hating on it is not a personality trait. I'm sure that none of the Friends "fans" think that the show is meaningful & deep. People love it because you can watch it mindlessly, & because everyone longs for a "simpler" life & a close-knit group of friends
