I apologize if i have ever used aave slang in my tweets, i was not aware of the significance that the terms held and i promise that i will stop myself from using them in the future. please do not hesitate to correct me if i end up using one without realizing. https://twitter.com/nonbangtan/status/1265948841364291584
Sadly today is the first time I’ve seen a list of words that are considered AAVE slang. English is my second language that I use only online. I thought for most of those words as “twitter slang” having absolutely no idea that by using them, I could offend someone.
I apologise for using some of those words on my account, I seriously didn’t know. Now that I’ve learned about this, I promise I’ll never use them again. Please don’t hesitate to share stuff like this when you notice someone is doing it.
We need to constantly learn and respect cultures.
