Thread 1) I remember one day at SWE bar. @eldeethedon @bankyw @mi_abaga we’re my “clique”. They all had no1 songs at the time.for each person (fan or other) who greeted them; they each got up, shook hands and spoke respectfully.
I sat there as a new comer taking notes. 2face then walked in and Dobale’d for someone. 2face!! I promised myself I would always work at respecting EVERYONE. I promised myself never to get too proud that I forget to be humble. That has guided me always.
Keep people around who will tell you when you are foolish, daft, goofing or whatever. Keep people around who you respect. Don’t have Yes men with you.
Remember that there is life after and outside social media. Remember that one day you will be old and not on stage. Remember that you need people. Remember that you are just talented.. and talent without character is ZERO.
When you are new in this game, there is a temptation to feel so high because everyone is shaking for you. Don’t succumb to it. That is the very time you should calm down.
Have “seniors”(not by age but experience) whose opinion you value. I have @soundsultan @eldeethedon for that always. I can ask them anything! They won’t lie to me. I send them ALL MY MUSIC. Why? Because of wisdom.
