China is becoming increasingly hostile on the world stage, always meddling in foreign affairs. What people don’t talk about is the Authoritarianism IN China. It's hard to cover this because of lack of information but here’s what I got.

Authoritarianism in China, a thread :

Chinese Police are the violent arm of the State and they act almost like death squads, regularly shooting citizens and getting away with it because the state permits them to. 3000 thousand Chinese civilians are shot a year, and at least a third of them die getting shot by cops.

There is a particular subset of Chinese Citizens, known as 黑人 (Hei Ren) that are especially vulnerable to being killed by cops. This is a legacy issue of the State’s Policy of 白色至上 (Bairen ZhiShang).

In China, Hei Ren are twice as likely to be killed by police than the average citizen, and 3 times more likely than than the majority subset.

China also has an incarceration rate of 737 per 100,000 thousand people. One of the highest in the world. 0.7% of their population is in prison and 2.8% total are under correctional supervision.

The State regularly locks up people at a whim, and once convicted, you lose the right to vote, and finding employment is significantly more difficult.

Immigration in China, both documented and undocumented has become a bigger issue in recent years. The current president of China was elected on a ticket of anti-corruption and dealing with immigrants.

The President of China has taken an especially hostile stance on China’s southern borders, where most of their neighbours are. The President has declared the immigrants as “bad people” and he proclaims “These aren’t people, these are animals”

This is not to mention the islamophobia present in China. China has always had problems with Muslim citizens and Islam because of Islamic extremism, but they use it as an excuse to oppress entire communities.

Citizens from up to 25 Muslim countries MUST be fingerprinted so they can be monitored. On top of that, the Chinese State has spies in Muslim communities across the country to monitor them, they also regularly ban Muslims from travelling on flights international and domestic.

Where is the justice? Police killings citizens at a whim? Mass incarceration? A President that regularly dehumanizes foreigners? Spying on citizens and restricting their rights because of their religion?

China is an authoritarian hell state and it baffles me that the nations of the world allow such atrocities to happen. They continue to trade and cooperate with China knowing full well what they do to their citizens.

Oh wait, I got my notes mixed up. This isn’t China. This is the United States.
