How to become a Veterinarian?

i will not mention all the pre- veterinary courses this thread mostly consists of proper subjects

a list of courses with sub courses within it.

Anatomy includes;

Canine anatomy- eto yung pinaka enjoy na subject pag 1st yr. proper ka
Comparative anatomy- eto puro comparison ng domestic animals
Histology- nagustuhan ko lecture neto pero pag lab na gg haha
Embryology- among all anat sub courses eto pinaka fav ko especiall

Theriogenology- puro reproductive system ata to hindi ko pa natetake e haha

Pre- requisite pala ng Anat 2 ay Anat 1. So pag nabagsak mo anat 1 domino effect na.

Physiology includes;

General physio- the basic physiology of animals the ancestor of Na K pump haha
Systemic physio- eto naman deals with the individual body systems of animal. eg. neuro, cardiac etc.
Reproductive & Endocrinology- about reproduction and hormones

ayan nakasulat na haha. mostly these subjects naman ay puro production, parang kumabaga under sya ng medicine subjects :)

Parasitology eto naaman insekto at mga worms.

Para 1- arthropods that are parasitic to animals kasama na din dito ang Protozoology study of protozoan parasites

Para 2- puro bulate naman haha

Eto yung subject na magsasawa ka sa scientific names at life cycle :3 lalo na pag mov

*ing exam tapos ang haba nung scientific name nung parasite hahaha

Pharmacology eto puro gamot naman efficacy and adverse effect of drugs etc.

Pharma 1- parang physio sya pero more on reaction of drug pag nasa system na
Pharma 2- eto naman about individual classification of drugs kung antibacterial, antiviral etc. and also yung family nung cla

*ssification nung drugs na iyon. Eg. Penicillin under the family of Beta lactam

again domino effect ulit ito haha. pre requisite ng pharma ang physio 1&2

Pathology sabi nung mga friend kong doctor na ito dwa ang pinaka useful na subject pag na sa practice ka na which is i think na totoo nga based on my experience sa pag dduty sa clinic

Patho 1- more on terminologies, lesions and introduction to the pathogenesis

*Patho 2- more on specific lesions naman at pathogenesis ng specific system
Patho 3- hayyy. eto binagsak ko hahaha, pero para sakin eto yung isa sa fav at ayaw ko na subject haha. More on specific test and reading of result according to values

*pre requisite naman ng patho ay Anat 1 at 2

Micro 1- introduction to microbiology, gram staining, bacteria, virus & fungi
Micro 2- favorite of all time. etiologic agent and species of bacteria
Immunology- host reaction sa mga invading pathogens
Virology- covid joke.

*family of viruses, species of animal affected and vaccine
Epidemiology- sino may sabing walang math sa vetmed. eto puro math more on statistics
Zoonoses- animal to human disease naman eto. eg. anthrax etc.
Food hygiene- no idea hahahahaha

Surgery 1- basic of surgery aseptic technique and minor surgical procedure
Surgery 2- major surgical procedure
Surgery 3- large animal

eto na ata pinaka nakakapagod at pinaka masayang sub. sa vetmed :)

dagdag ko lang sa pharma tuturuan din pala kayo don ng prescription writing :)
