Savarkar was born in a Maharashtrian Brahmin family in the village of Bhagur, near the city of Nashik Maharashtra. He created the ideology of “Hindutva”(Hinduness) in 1923. He used the term ‘Hindutva’ to describe ‘Hinduness’ or the quality of being a Hindu

’. He regarded Hinduism as an ethnic, cultural and political identity.
Hindus, according to Savarkar, are those who consider India to be the land in which their ancestors lived, as well as the land in which their religion originated. He advocates the creation of a Hindu

state(Hindu Rashtra) in that sense.
He was the inspiration to Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar(K. B. Hedgewar) and M. S. Golwalkar.
Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar(K. B. Hedgewar) - He founded the ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS)’ in 1925.
M. S. Golwalkar(Guruji) - He was the second

Sarsanghchalak (or, "Supreme Leader") of the RSS, who later founded the ‘Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP)’ in 1964.
Sarvakar includes all Indian religions in the term "Hinduism" and outlines his vision of a "Hindu Rashtra" (Hindu Nation) as "Akhand Bharat" (Undivided India),

stretching across the entire Indian subcontinent.
Savarkar wrote:
"v Hindus r bound together not only by the tie of the love v bear to a common fatherland & by the common blood that courses through our veins & keeps our hearts throbbing & our affections warm, but also Rashtra !

by the tie of the common homage we pay to our great civilization - our Hindu culture"
While in prison, Savarkar wrote the work describing Hindutva, espousing what it means to be a Hindu, and Hindu pride, in which he defined as all the people descended of Hindu culture as being

part of Hindutva, including Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs.
That’s why he is regarded as the father of ‘Hindu nationlism’ in Indian.
Not just RSS but every indian should idolise Savarkar. Salute to this brave son of Mother India.
