Thread: A New "Order" in East Asia:

Growing tensions with the United States appear to be leading China to double down on its immediate military and strategic periphery. Beijing's willingness to compromise with the U.S is increasingly losing incentives. Change is coming.
Today news emerged that China expelled a U.S warship from the South China Sea. In line with emphasizing its sovereignty on Hong Kong, Beijing may be now taking a harder stance on this issue. It knows that the balance of power here is shifting away from the U.S.
Taiwan will be next. Tolerance is running out for Tsai ing wen's attempt to push back against Beijing and tilting towards the U.S. As I have said before, she is miscalculating in how far she is pushing back. Given the above, Beijing will be set to hammer Taipei soon enough.
Also observe India. China is demonstrating its military powers to New Delhi over this border dispute to affirm its stake over the South Asia region, strengthening relationships with Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
What we have here is a new move by China to assert its position on all fronts against a new hostile American policy which makes the previous stances of balance and compromise untenable. Beijing is now heading towards forcibly pushing the U.S out of the Asia-Pacific.
It goes like this:

1. Expel the influence of the U.S from Hong Kong
2. Establish a position of primacy in the South China Sea
3. Reaffirm dominance over South and South East Asia
4. Intensify pressure on Taiwan
