England's contact tracing scheme has launched this morning. It needs to collect a lot of personal data to work.

Here's what its privacy notice says people will need to give:

If you have coronavirus: full name, date of bird, home postcode/house number, telephone number, email
If you test positive, this is what you have to give PHE/NHS about those you've been in contact with. Their: full name, postcode/house number, phone number, email

With lockdown in place, this shouldn't be too hard. It gets tricky when people are moving freely (eg on a busy train)
How long will this data be kept? A long time. PHE says it'll keep personal info on those with coronavirus for 20 years! The contact info provided for those you've been near will be kept for five years
Where is it stored? PHE says in its "secure cloud environment". It will be collected in the "UK only". No more details.

Who can access it? "It can only be seen by those who have a specific and legitimate role in the response and who are working on the NHS Test and Trace."
Who is the data shared with? A little vague, but basically says drs and nurses only
Of course there's a typo in the first tweet. 'Date of bird' clearly meant to be 'birth'
