Day 50 of lingering #covid19 symptoms begins, and despite feeling rather wonderful upon waking, I've been reminded once again of how unpredictable this illness can be #covid1in20 1/n
Upon waking, wow, felt like I've never had these lingering symptoms. What an incredible feeling. Decided to venture out in the garden at 5.30am, felt almost boundless energy, but capped my walk at around 1,500 steps, which is still a personal best during these 50 days 2/n
I still felt amazing after my walk, no issues. No brain fog, muscles in general still sore and aching, which have been so for weeks, but in the background rather than the foreground. Made some breakfast and then all of a sudden... 3/n
Coughing, tightness of chest and lower back pain (on right side) which are still there as I write this. Really weird that coughing is so frequent in the morning, it's the evenings that coughing appears 4/n
Each time I cough, the back pain gets worse for a moment and unless I'm perfectly still, I feel the back pain. I've not had any back pain issues since symptoms began, and I had no underlying issues with my back before symptoms
either. Weird 5/n
I guess it's a case of complete rest today, especially with regards to my back, as I don't know what's caused it. Is it something relating to the virus or the simple act of walking small steps in the garden or a bit of both? 6/n
Given I've had 2 negative PCR swab test results, I found this thread to be enlightening, with regard to false negatives, infections and returning to work on the basis of test results and what's gone wrong https://twitter.com/Prolapsarian/status/1265724692670885904?s=20 7/n
I decided to look at the privacy information regarding the government's testing - again, a really interesting read https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-privacy-information/testing-for-coronavirus-privacy-information 8/n
So given I live in England, my negative result will be linked to my GP medical record. I just checked my GP medical record on my phone using the NHS app this morning, nothing in there yet. I'm guessing it needs my GP to review and approve the linking of the result? 9/n
Useful to read about why the Department of Health & Social Care is the data controller (they commissioned the virus testing program)

I've never understood why despite it all being the UK, the NHS policies are different for England vs NHS in Scotland/NI/Wales?

10/n
How could my testing information be used for purposes other than my health & care? The policy makes it very clear 11/n
Fascinating to see the entire list of data processors associated with this national covid-19 testing initiative, and it also makes you realise how many different organisations are needed to pull it off, it's not just the NHS!! 12/n
Apart from the issues with symptoms I described earlier, my energy levels are still good, but am hyper aware of the need to ensure my "energy budget" (mental, physical and emotional) for today is not completely depleted by the time I go to bed /end
