JFK Jr’s dog, Friday, was a breed called Canaan.
Biblically, Canaan is son of Ham, grandson of Noah. Noah cursed Canaan. Canaan was also the name of a large prosperous land named after Noah’s grandson. Canaan was also known as Phoenicia.

In religion, they worshiped many gods such as El, the goddess Ashera and her consort #Baal, and Sumerian deities such as Utu-Shamash. Religious rites included #humansacrifice (especially #childsacrifice) .

In the Book of Exodus, Moses led his people, the Israelites, out of Egyptian slavery and toward the `promised land’ of Canaan where God promised them they’d live in peace in a “land flowing with milk and honey.”
Given who the descendants of Canaan are, it’s curious what JFK Jr was telling us with his choice of dog he named Friday. If these people can be eliminated will there be peace and a land of milk & honey?
