Where I'm from in Cork, we stack dry stone walls vertically.

I'm not going to rock the boat here in west Clare though!

I'd be worried what the neighbours might think!

worth adding to this thread, where I am from in Cork, almost no one makes or repairs stone walls anymore and most of the field boundaries are long since overgrown or ripped out.

When I was a kid this had multiple smaller fields divided by walls/hedges.

Road below it floods now!
