There have been false/incomplete/misdirecting news reports
These are:
- Wakefield Spectator piece
- Cummings Spectator piece
- Wakefield Radio 4 piece
- "source" of @bbclaurak 22 May
- No 10 briefing reported in FT
- No 10 comment response to Mirror/Guardian story
Strange, eh

You will see each one of these is in control of, or closely related to, Cummings/Wakefield
(Even the "source" was solid enough for @bbclaurak it use to contradict another journalist on a major emerging story)
All misinformation, at least

The two Number 10 misinformations were probably not deliberate by Number 10 press team - they were reliant on information supplied
That is supplied by a source in a position to know

Against these five pieces of misinformation - each from/close to Cummings/Wakefield we have the firm denial of a reported visit to Durham of 19 April
Guess which squirrel Cummings etc want us to look at: the 19 April trip is incorrect, so all fake news is with Guardian/Mirror
