i’m crying because i’m so frustrated that there are people who don’t see what happened to George Floyd and many other african americans in our country as a problem.

people are sitting here, defending the cops, saying that well, “they did something illegal, so they deserve it.” whilst some of you are underage drinking and smoking weed and using fake ids and vaping. do you deserve to be killed for doing those things? those are illegal too.

people genuinely believe that because it isn’t them they don’t have to pay attention or worry about it. because it’s not their skin color fighting day in and day out to be seen as equal to those with a literal lack of pigmentation

that’s wild to me. that because one persons skin contains more or less pigment to another persons they deserve different, more harsh treatment in the eyes of those with less pigmentation. it is the luck of the draw to be born to two parents with white skin.
