I’d like to bring up a topic in the midst of this, as my father is an immigrant. Immigration of mothers and children from South American countries to USA is a VERY dangerous journey

I would love you all to consider reading “Enrique’s Journey” by Sonia Nazario

It’s a book about Enrique who follows his single mother to America after she abandoned them to find work and money in America so she could provide for them.

After reading, it changed my entire view on the immigration and process to get a citizenship in America

There are people getting killed, raped, and left to die of starvation on these trips. These people need our help.

If we don’t want illegal immigrants, why not make it easier for them to become legal?

And at the end of this thread, I’d just like to say that people all over the globe are suffering. It’s our job to help as many people as we can and spread kindness and tolerance.
