I remember being little and seeing America plastered all over the internet as a beautiful nation where one can achieve their dreams starting from nothing. Now growing up and learning English, communicating and being aware of what’s really happening in the world, I realise 1/?
How much of what I was seeing was in reality propaganda. America is a deeply scarred nation that’s built with layers and layers of racism. It’s useless, imo, to think about whose fault it is because every single coloniser has been dead for a while, that doesn’t mean doe that 2/?
The damage they have done doesn’t persist. Millions of indigenous people killed, murdered because of the primal instinct to conquer. Slaves that have been deprived of their own culture and freedom and continue being oppressed not by the law itself, but by the people in charge 3/?
Who find every excuse to bend the law to their favor without facing consequences. I am honestly disgusted by what has happened to that poor man and can only offer my support via petitions and try spread awareness here, in my own land. Please, if anyone is reading this thread: 4/?
If you are white, understand the privilege you have in living in a land that sees you as the majority and use your voice to spread awareness to what is happening in the world. Talk to your friends and families, your neighbours if you can, because what we’ve seen is a murder 5/6
And it looks like nobody of the “bosses” intends to face it for what it is. They want to hide it instead, and act like nothing is wrong. We can’t allow it.
