Because I always manage to notice important stuff after I’ve already ranted about a FEH topic in a video, here’s something I didn’t notice about my Meet Some of the Heroes theory due to Twitter not letting me see all of the FEH acct.’s tweets until I searched on desktop:

the groups they’ve been adding to the site with mythics/legendaries since July 2019 have been going in series order. Thread to follow (and it’s going to be a long one).

E.g.: July was Shadow Dragon, then August was Gaiden/Valentia, then September was Genealogy… up to tonight, with the Fates additions. This certainly makes my theory seem more like a coincidence than anything --

-- but at the same time, New Heroes banners did follow a good portion of these MSOTH additions. Shadow Dragon got their The Chosen Ones banner about a month after their MSOTH update.

A list of instances like this follows:

Mystery of the Emblem -- JAGEN, CAIN, ABEL, GORDIN, DRAUG (7-31-19) -> New Heroes: The Chosen Ones -- PHINA, NAGI, SIRIUS, NORNE (9-9-19)

Blazing Blade -- MATTHEW, NINIAN, JAFFAR, URSULA, NINO (12-24-19) -> New Heroes: The Dread Isle -- LEILA, NILS, RATH, FIORA (2-17-20)

Four of these five were followed pretty closely by their New Heroes banners; FE4 is the only one I am inclined to ignore because it broke the banner order and had three full months in between its MSOTH additions and New Heroes banner.

Binding Blade didn’t get its MSOTH additions until a week or so *after* its New Heroes banner, so it’s left out -- as is Sacred Stones because it had its little moment in the sun during autumn, way before its MSOTH additions.

Now, the deal with Tellius. We have not yet seen a dedicated Tellius New Heroes banner following their MSOTH additions, but we *have* seen multiple Tellius alts in the past month on the year’s fallen and bridal banners. My previously proposed links were:

So yeah, it’s been going in order the whole time + there are a few sizeable lapses in linearity from MSOTH-->banner, but so many of the links that exist feel too purposeful to ignore.

Half of me thinks it’s all just been me willfully pattern-finding, but the other half really wants it to be intentional. An idea I’ve been throwing around is that, even though the additions are following the series’ chronology, IS is still purposefully choosing which units--

--are added to MSOTH based on upcoming banners. Adding characters that are related to upcoming new units makes the Closely Associated Characters sections of each page more seamless, so I can see it being something they’re paying attention to.

I guess all we can do is wait to see if Awakening and/or Fates get any new units in the next few months. Fates feels less likely because they just had a New Heroes banner + we’re getting into Summer Banner Season and they’ve already had one of those, too. But we’ll see!!

End of thread for now! I just wanted to have all of this information documented somewhere. By autumn we can either call it a definite pattern to make predictions from or shame me for making something out of nothing. ;)
