Relitigating them earlier tweets; I think, fundamentally, what I want to get at on the subject of "wholesome" is that anything that presents itself as cute, empathetic and safe -particularly for marginalized people- is something that you need to constantly interrogate and assess.
& #39;Cos if you don& #39;t, then those spaces will cease to be safe, and noone will notice the change.
Similarly, dynamics present here are heightened when you consider that the comfort/cosiness/empathy is often presented *in opposition* to other works. When you& #39;re saying "you can only get this here", then you& #39;re creating -probably unknowingly- some very vulnerable structures.
Not to mention creating, what I kinda feel is a degree of bleak cynicism. That sense of opposition above? The idea that you need to be a comfort-blanket to be inclusive of marginalized ppl and of ~feelings~......
To me, that is tantamount to espousing that there& #39;s no room for sensitivity within harsher worlds and conditions. That either <everything is kind>, or probably nothing is.
To me, personally, I place a great value in finding warmth while weathering the cold.

And ofc, I hate that I kinda have to spell it out, but all this shit is far from complete, but primarily structural. It& #39;s cumulative. roduct of background contexts, trends & readings of the room.
