Dear @ChennaiIPL

"Blindly I started watching cricket
Reason u gave
Aimlessly I started supporting CSK
Vision u gave"

As a Nine years old child , I cherish each n every memory that I have of 2011 season of IPL.

A small thread 👇👇👇
Game 1:
Opted to bat first at home ground, we lost early wkt of Monk but it was Anirudhha Srinkant who thrashed Kkr bowler all over park as he got out on last over after scoring 64 that include 2sixes , one over deep mid wkt other to mid off .as 1st six of the season goes to him
Coming to chase the target of 154 ;KKR didnot resemble the pich condition as they lost wkt in regular interval .Apart from Kallis 54 none other played a handy knock;it means they fall short by 2 runs and it was csk who emerged victorius on the First game
It was Huss brilliant 83* that setted the tone for the host at hot n humid condition on chennai .At the end of 20 overs it was CSK who were on top at defendable score of 183/5.
Soon when the RCB innings got started , It was Small Morkel from SA who provided early breakthrough to host as RCB never got going after that; kept loosing wkt on regular basis that made CSK win the game by 21 runs .With that CSK had 2 wins and a loss(with kxip) in three games
With 2 losses on the trott; Csk were up against PWI again on their home venue but we had opposite result as compared to previous 2 encounter. Again a magnificent inning from Huss provided CSK fans like me something to cheer as his 61 came on a winning note that makes 142 for
6 for CSK. Chasing the small total the opposition were never on a game as they loss opener within 4 overs for 27 runs. Then the likes of Albie destoyed their batting lineup as picked 3 wkts for 29 , that sets CSk the third victory of the season by 25 runs. @ChennaiIPL
Again it was the same opponent but the venue and match winner was different....Winning the toss and opting to bat PWI kept loosing wicket just like previous game but it was Yubraj (62* off 43)special knock that got them to a respectable total of 141
Coming to bat to chase a simple target of 142 ;Huss departed early but it was the time to @s_badrinath to showcase his game and he didn't disappoint: he(63*/44) along with Raina(34*/25) had match winning partnership that set the tone for CSk as they went with a win for next game
When Chennai took over Deccan Chargers; it was gigantic show from Raina that gears up the CSK total to 165/5.. It was his 59 runs knocks that set the tone before he was dismissed by Pragyan Ojha in 18th over of the game.
Coming to chase 166; DC player never looked in a good touch apart from opner Sunny Sohal but it was Jakati who cleaned him up on 56 as CSK registered another empathic win by just 19 runs IT was Morkel who set the tone in bowling picking up 3 imp wkt and bagging up MOM to his nAme
Winning the toss n coming to bat RR had formidble start but could not convert the start to such a way to tie a knock over CSK. It was Dravid 66 and Watto 32 that managed RR to 147/5
Again it was Hussey's brilliance sets the tone for CSK ,when we lost Murali too early , it was Chinna Thala who added amazing 137runs along with Huss and departed at 61 setting an easy win. IT was Hussey(79*) Pullshort for 4 maintained an unbeaten record winning all 5 home games
Again RR couldnot easily accomolate CSK heavy setup and got another heavy defeat ; this time my margin of 63 runs.Each n every CSK player chipped in as they scored 196/3
HUSS=46
Raina=43
Monk=53
But it Doug Bollinger who bagged 3 wickets for 21 in his 4 fours that set the tone for CSK bowling and when Raina arrived , he picked 2 wickets in 3 balls to seal the deal for Yellow Army by huge margin
When Chennai met over Delhi capitals at chennai, Thala lighted up the show this time by magical knock of 63* from 31 that include 5 fours and 4 maximum ended up the CSK total to 176/4... Badrinath too chipped in with another half century of the season this time
Irfan's fighting 44 went in vain as Ash and Bravo picked 2 wickets each to wrap up the Delhi to only 158...That sets an easy win for CSK by 18 runs before they meet KTK...
This time When CSK met Kochi Tuskers , @Wriddhipops chipped in with brilliant 46*/33 balls when other players fail to convert their inning. Itwas his knock that took CSK to 152/5. Apart from Brad Hodge 51* none other player from KTK looked in good touch as fell short by 11 runs..
Qualifier 1::::
CSK vs RCB

Winning the toss and opting to field; Csk got early breakthrough in the form of Gayle but Virat and Mayank got going till Bravo came and dismissed Mayank. But Virat played a fiery inning that set the tone for RCB in the huge game to set 175/4
Chennai lost golden Man early without troubling the score and Murali at 5, means they were 7/2 at 1.3overs. But It was a little partnership betn Badrinath and Raina that created a glimpse of hope but when Badrinath went at 34; Csk were 70/3 at 11 overs
Then Thala arrived and added 61 runs with Mr.Ipl and when Thala got dismmissed equation got a bit hard as CSK required another 46 from 20 balls. But it Was Albie unbelievable knock of 28* from 10 and Raina 73* off 50 made Yellow Army through to the final from the jaw of defeat..
Holding the tag of defending champions, it was the time for @ChennaiIPL to set up the momentum and bring the trophy back. With fiery night, fans chanting around the corner hoping for another title, the big battle started at right 8 pm on Chennai...
Opting to bat first in the night of final after winning the toss; both @ChennaiIPL openers looked in really good touch.They both added 159runs in 14.5 overs till Huss was caught by Mithun at 64. But Monk had another plan ,started firing from all cylinder till he was caught at 95
And with some brilliance set up by Thala on the field baggs an empathic 58 runs victory over RCB. And this conclude the season hammering Rcb dream and becoming the first ever team to lift IPl title back to back in history Murali baggs MOM award for his brillaint knock
Record made at that day
~ @ChennaiIPL lifted the title for 2nd time(none other team did it)
~Defended the title and became the 1st team to lift IPL title back to back in history
