Unicorn riot said that some firefighters are refusing to put out store fires in solidarity with protestors

there's a fire truck just sort of parked in front of a burning phone store not doing anything

two firefighters just sort of hugged and are now staring at the building that's been on fire for 30 minutes, which they've been parked next to the whole time. still no hoses or water or anything. really surreal, even the unicorn riot host is confused

they're finally putting it out after it's burnt down to it's skeleton lmao

fire department said now they're just not going to respond to fires unless life at danger, they refused the call over the scanner when someone told them to put out the autozone again.

shit is real

i think there's an element of both solidarity and fear; a couple fire trucks got their windows broken and the department was worried hoses may get cut or damaged.

but i feel there has to be some sense of solidarity with the community in the fire dep, even if it's not universal

solidarity to the uprising in minneapolis, and to all people fighting this settler-imperialist police state. keep fighting as long as you can
