Why The Gifted is a must watch thai series and some of its life lessons; a long ass thread
This may contain spoilers so for those who haven't watched this yet, skip this thread. I don't wanna spoil the fun of you discovering the major plot twists of this series 🤪
The Gifted is a series about a group of students who were bestowed with 'gifts' that normal people do not have. Their school established a program to enhance their potentials but little do they know that this program was just a few of the secrets that their school was keeping
This series opened our eyes to a lot of things in life. They say High School is where we grow, where we find our lifetime friends but for these group of students, they learned a lot more than that and they took us, viewers, in a rollercoaster ride
Ohm taught us that the funniest people are the ones who had a terrible past. Personally, I think his potential, along with Wave and Pang, is the most powerful and the scariest of them all. He taught us that in order to find someone, we should dig deep down---
--remembering the good things rather than the bad ones. He taught us that its always easy to forget but what is hard is to remember things that you buried deep down since it made you suffer once in your life.
Namtaan taught us that sometimes, digging up the past could be very relevant in knowing the hidden secrets that should be exposed. She was also a sick kid, yet she fought her way through and didn't let that stop her from using her potential and making it use for good.
Claire is seriously the baddest bitch of them all. She taught us that being sassy does not make you any less human, it just makes you stand out. Her episode taught us that you should not be afraid of what you were since it's a part of who you are today.
She also taught us that people will always be jealous and will always have bad things to say to you so why not be who you are and let them say what they want? 🤪
Episode 5 is seriously the scariest episode of all!!! Punn showed to us that people really do have a lot of personalities (whether or not you jave a multiple personality disorder), it just takes one scenario to trigger it---
He taught us how to fight the devil inside us, showed us that devils do live among us but they should not take over us and that we should be in control. He showed us that people really do have good and bad sides, it just depends on how you treat them.
Mon is seriously a bad ass too. She taught us that friends would sometimes envy you but you still gotta do things to make sure they're safe just like how she quit her sports club knowing that they could get drugged with her own smell of sweat.
Korn taught us that trusting people too easily makes as vulnerable. Too much love can actually kill you and that one should not put their hearts out too much on people that they just met. His potential was a bit lousy (I admit) but I wanna see the writers---
Put his potential into use on the second season of the gifted series.
Despite the lack of screentime, what I learned about Jack and Joe is that siblings are indeed connected in real life (not literally). They will always have each other's back no matter what and when one is hurt, the other one will feel and own it as if it was his. Bro love 🤪💕
Wave's potential is one of the most useful since we are in the technology era. He taught me that people weren't born bad, they were molded by their own experiences. What matters is his character development in the series---
I honestly hated him at first since he was so cocky but at the end, I saw that other people really pushes you to be the bad guy. He changed sides though and well...he's very cute sooo😂🤪
Let's talk about Pang, the last student who discovered his potential. He taught me that just because you feel like you don't belong doesn't mean you don't actually belong there. It just takes a little push and a little concentration----
He showed us that he did everything with wave because he doesn't want his friends to get hurt and well...it was later revealed that he didn't trust them. He taught us that no matter how powerful you are, you really can't do everything by yourself. Thats what friends are for.
Mr. Pom's actions were influenced by the director's power but I think that erasing his friend's memory was his own decision. He taught us that when things go rough and your name is about to go down, you will do everything just to clean it up even if it means losing a friend.
He did help in the end though but was later controlled again by the director. He is a good teacher but I think he should really stop being a pet and start using his potential for the good (like erasing the director's memory😂)
Their friendship has a sad ending. It taught us that real friends do exist, and you really can count on them when you need to. Chanon was willing to sacrifice his future for Pom but Pom, as selfish as he was, didn't know about this and chose to erase his memories instead.
I actually thought she was a bad at first but she wasn't. What she showed us was that people will do anything to keep their lives clean but once they are out of it, they wouldn't care and would be ready to spill your secrets anytime. Always be careful who you trust.
Although she was pretty useful since she gave the ingormation to Pang, it showed us that since it didn't matter to her anymore, she could tell anyone about the school's secret and not care about it.
This motherfucker showed us that some really cares about the power only and not care about anything as long as they are in authority. One thing I gotta say is, JUST DIE MOTHERFUCKER
