For some strange reason, I couldn’t help but engage with the online #alllivesmatter folks. Many came at me with the “More white people are killed by police than black people” argument. Or they hit me with, “It’s only a race issue because it’s convenient.
So, white people, I have a few questions:
1. Do you often think about the fact that police sometimes kill white people?

2. White men, have any of your mothers verbally showed concern about your safety because of police violence?
3. Do you want to break things, loot and tear the world apart when you see the people who are paid to protect you, kill a white person?
4. If you answered no to all or any of the above questions, why are you so argumentative when black people do really care when police kill us?
I ask because when things are not of concern to me, I am not argumentative at all.

And if those things are of concern to you, wouldn’t you also be protesting in the streets about murderous police?
