honestly, at this point, the whole police brutality thing is a fucking sick joke. at the end of the day, it’s murder. it’s abuse of power. they are charged with protecting and serving and should be held to a certain standard, especially given the respect they insist on demanding
They are charged with protecting yet there are countless americans who cannot even go about their day-to-day without fearing for their lives, most often from the ones who are meant to protect them. Can’t even sit on their couches without the possibility of being murdered.
I don’t care what side of any aisle you sit on. You care about your personal liberties? What about the freedom to pursue your best life, as long as you don’t infringe upon others ability to do so? Where’s the conversation about police infringing upon those basic liberties?
We have a constitution to protect us & our right to life & liberty. Police were meant to uphold that. I can understand the risks of doing your job, but at the end of the day, murder is murder. It’s what this is and it’s what it has always been. It’s past time it’s treated as such
And if you somehow feel the need to disagree, i’d love to hear why you’re wrong. Maybe we can all learn something together
I think this thread is just gonna be a thing now. Our institutions consistently failing us starts with this. It’s blatant.
