A recent Champion and 108 win team in BOSTON traded away a future Hall of Famer in his prime because they feared he would cost too much in a year. The league is looking to cut 40+ minor league teams from its farm system. Then, of course, absurd rule changes no one wants
Even the Yankees have made a concerted effort to cut costs for no reason other than the bottom line. This all in an era when the league is making more money than ever. Now they might be the only league (including MLS) that doesn't figure out coming back during the pandemic.
It's not an argument: the MLB is the worst-run league in North American sports and Manfred is the worst commissioner. I never thought anyone would pass Bettman in those terms, but here we are.
