You can always count on a statist to be eager to bend over whenever the state demands it. In Zuckerberg's case this has worked out rather well. After all, he is a high paid whore for just about any right wing politician with the cash and influence to buy him.

Yet the same can be said for just about every other "patriot" from every other country on earth. The concept of the state requires devotion. It requires submission. And it rewards those who play their part.

Being loyal to the state, waving whatever flag it dictates and looking the other way when your masters feel the need to kill, has rewards. All it takes is a very conscious decision to be a goddamn hypocrite your entire life and not bite the hand the feeds you.

You get to pretend you are anti-racism when in fact all forms of nationalism are derived from racist beliefs in who belongs and who does not. There is no state on the planet that was not formed without racism playing its part. To be a patriot is to be racist to a point.

You get to claim to be all about human rights. Humans of course being the only animal on earth that lives within cages of its own making - borders. Even those supporting the softest of borders still just want a shiny cage to hide inside.

You get to claim you support freedom. But the moment the state decides some freedoms need redefined, you gotta bend over and pretend this is all acceptable. That or put on the state sanctioned blindfold as others have freedoms violently revoked.

You get to claim you are against killing... because we all can agree murder is wrong. Yet when the state feels the need to commit murder on scales not even the coronavirus could achieve, you hold a little rally and then get back to work for the state.

To be loyal to any state is to attempt to elevate yourself above the rest of mankind while pretending a patch of dirt on this miserable little planet is sacred. It is a practice that no other intelligent species engages in.

Not that anyone here gives a damn about my views. But this thread is a sure way to offload some of you who I don't much care for anyway.
