I spent a number of hours checking the Voter totals after seeing a statement by @NigelJaquiss about late turn in ballots from specific counties. I caught my interest. I decided to look at the historical stats to get a gauge and break down those numbers. The numbers don't add up.
In Jan-April 2016 there were over 131,018 newly registered Democrats before the Primary. Dem voters went from 834,699 to 956,300. Republicans increased 45,575 and went from 645,509 to 688,133. NAV and Indi voters crashed 35, 563. #orpol
December 2016 is where things start to get interesting after Moter Voter laws passed. . Dem Voters continue to sky-rocket with a total of 143,319 new voters. Republicans gain just 66,703 that, Indi gains 8,834 and NAV gains a whopping 169,238 IN ADDITION to the above.
Population Growth in 2016 was only 62,000. That's a TON of residents finally registering to vote and an unreal amount of brand new NAV voters. Per 2016 voting stats, before Moter Voter passed, NAV would drop when new registrants showed up in Dem/Rep/Indi categories. Not after
Between December 2016-December 2019 population growth was 159,000 new residents. (Assuming all were legal to vote) Yet NAV totals are an astonishing 264,064. Total Voters across all parties grew 242,080 (including NAV). Something doesn't add up for me.
This is where things get more interesting. NAV Votes continue to climb and there's one party that despite all efforts continues to decline on total votes from 2016-2020. Here's those numbers:
Dec 2019
Dem: 970,284
Rep: 701,970
Indi:124,036
NAV: 955,801
Jan 2020:

Dem: 973, 736 (+ 3,452)
Rep: 701,878 (-92)
Indi: 124,048 (+12)
NAV: 960,011 (+4,210)
Feb 2020
Dem: 984,555 (+10,819)
Rep: 702,765 (+887)
Indi: 123,711 (-337)NAV: 962,502 (+2,491)
March: SHUT DOWN MONTH
Dem: 996,245 (+11,690)
Rep: 705,800 (+3035)
Indi 123,564 (-147)
NAV: 968,908 (+6,406)
April 2020 SHUT DOWN MONTH
Dem: 1,006,266 (+10,021)
Rep: 711,344 (+5,544)
Indi: 123,189 (-375)
NAV: 962,453 (-6,455)
December 2019 - April Voter Changes
Dem: +35,982 voters (majority in months Feb-April)
Republican: +9,374
Indi: -847
NAV: +31,107
December 2016-April 2020 Voter Changes:
Dem: +28,248 (majority increase in months Feb-April 2020)
Republican -868
Indi: +3908
NAV: +264,064 (!!!!!!!!!!!)
So if population growth from from end of 2016-2019 is only 159,000 how did we end up with 242,000 total new voters and 264,064 Non Affiliated Voters? The notion that the NAV is increasing because of population growth, does not add up.
So to end this since Motor Voter to April of 2020 , Dems have registered more people than have moved here w/ total gain of 28,248. Indi's have gained 3,908 & Republicans have LOST 898 Voters. NAV increased by a whopping 264,064. Why don't these numbers add up? #orpol
