My first real kiss: I prepared for it like it was a matter of life and death.

I was in my 100 level in Uni. Before then, I had kissed Monday when I was 14 years old under the stairs in their "face me I face you" mansion. Even though It was just a peck on the lips, I thought it was a big deal. But later in life, Mills&Boons taught me pe, I was a learner.

I was dating this person I couldn't tell anyone about. It was exciting! Sneaking around, talking for hours, hugging afterward, sealed with a peck or two on the lips.

When I convinced myself it was time to kiss him for real, I decided to prepare for the event.

Chapstick was my friend for a week, I needed my lips soft, supple, and succulent.

Then I brushed 3 times a day followed immediately by mouthwash. I did this also, for a week.

The day finally arrived, I couldn’t sleep, I had braced myself, it was time to be a woman.

We were seated in his car, talking,q as usual, my eyes wouldn’t stop wandering to his lips, I wondered if I should jump him or ask politely.

Bros took the decision out of my hands, "why do you keep staring at my lips?" He asked with a small smile. "I want to kiss you" I replied.

My chapstick was in my pocket, I wondered if I should quickly use it but he had already moved his face close to mine. So I went in....and our teeth clashed!

Ouch! That was embarrassing, so I pulled back. He chuckled,

and I wanted to die. He noticed I was embarrassed then pulled me close again, "let's try again,” he said.

So we did.

This time, it was easy until he said, "open your mouth."

Sir? You say?

"why?" I asked, raising a brow in suspicion. He said, "just do it.”

Nah mehn,

I didn't plan for this. "But I don't want to have sex," I quickly put that out there. It’s kiss I wanted to kiss, I wasn’t looking for trouble.

He laughed out loud and shook his head at me, “No, we won't have sex. But it's okay, we can try again tomorrow". I sighed in relief.

Let me tell you though,as a fast learner that I is, "mouth opened" in two days
