#BlackLivesMatter means acknowledging the foundation upon which systematic oppression is built. The justice system acts as an arm of the state, and that state perpetuates Capitalism. Socioeconomic injustice and violence against black folk go hand in hand. Don’t ignore that.

#Blacklivesmatter if you support the movement, yet fail to critique capitalism, your allyship is faux and useless. Justice will never be realised without acknowledging HOW black folk are oppressed and how capitalism disproportionately affects them and has been for centuries.

++with this thread I am not trying to come off as class reductionist AT ALL, and I apologise if my wording makes it appear like that. My point is that black people are disproportionately affected by capitalism, NOT that racism wouldn’t exist without it—it’s simply amplified.
