whenever I listen to bon iver I’m reminded of the times in high school I would spend lying on the floor of my room & staring at the ceiling while listening to their music bc the boy I liked didn’t like me

or driving at night with the windows down when it was like 40 degrees

I was over dramatic back then & im sure I’m being over dramatic now, but it reminds me of this quote from ned vizzini’s “it’s kind of a funny story” (great book btw highly recommend)

I just miss that time of my life. The simplicity of it, anyway.
