I am dumbfounded by the idea that in middle school we are all (VERY minimally) taught about (a FEW) black historical figures, such as Rosa Parks & Dr. King, and how they “abolished inequality” by fighting for civil rights. It’s disgusting that they told us that fight is finished.

I could add an unlimited number of points to this thread about how angry and frustrated I am about the lack of black history education there is AT ALL, but for now all I have to say is that there has been NO CHANGE. And there will be no change if we dont TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

It is NOT. OKAY. And we CANNOT become numb to the injustice. The fact that it is still happening at this point does not make it okay, it means We. Need. Change. I am disgusted and I am sorry.
