I knew yesterday morning that there was a planned demonstration to demand justice for #GeorgeFloyd. I'm not a super activist, I don't have access to secret information, I'm just moderately tuned in to what's going on around me. So let's assume MPD is at least as informed as I am.

That means MPD had better than 8 hours to prepare for what could be a volatile situation, because their officers killed #GeorgeFloyd. 8 hours is plenty of time to harden the precinct, put up barriers, move squad cars, secure loaded weapons, you know, basics. But they didn't.

Instead, they dispatched riot police in full tactical gear on what was a mainly peaceful march. They escalated. They continue to escalate. They chose this. They're getting exactly what they want. That's on Chief Arradondo. That's on @MayorFrey. #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd
