I remember a few times when I was a kid, I often removed my hearing aid to give myself a mental break from the daily noises.

One day, my mom was on the toliet and realized she ran out of toliet paper.

And mom began hollering for me yet I was oblivious to it.
My mom then storms into my room, with pants semi-pulled up but undone and she was angrily waving a toliet paper at me. She huffs and walks back into the bathroom.
Then there was that one time where I was in the living room w/ the dog. Of course my hearing aid was off. My dog kept looking down the hallway & at me & I could see my dog "barking" under her chest "Huff...huff"

I turned on my hearing aid to find out what was provoking the dog.
Lo and behold....my mom hollering my name. I go find out what she wants with the dog's cold wet nose booping the back of my legs. I asked my mom what she wanted and she said TOLIET PAPER!!! Safe to say she was annoyed.
Then we fast forward to the future where people now can text each other from anywhere.

I'm living with my ex-bf who sent me a text from the bathroom "I need TP"

I was busy studying and oblivious to my cell phone going off and I wasnt wearing my hearing aid.
My bf at the time comes into the dining room looking annoyed and pointed at my phone.
I looked at my phone and see that I missed 6 texts where my ex asked for TP. Each text had more exclamations than the last!!!!!
Then there was that one time a coworker texted to let me know she was in the stall & ran out of TP & needed some.

I got you going here a bit did I? 😂

Lucky for her, I saw the text and slipped her TP under the stall door.
Couple years ago, I was at my folks cooking breakfast. They had a guest dog staying with them for the weekend.

I sat down to eat breakfast. And heard my mom hollering for me. I got up annoyed thinking she was hollering for TP...
With a roll of TP in my hand, I proceed to give it to mom. I was wrong. Mom informs me that the dog was grumbling for bacon because I was eating and the dog wanted to be fed bits of bacon.
Moral of the story - when you live or work with a deaf person, always and I mean ALWAYS check to make sure you have toliet paper.
