As hard as This is to accept (and it’s extremely hard for me), the real enemy isn’t the people or the system it’s the spirit that has influenced both.

This is the same thing Jesus was telling people during his ministry. The Jewish people wanted a king to come destroy their oppressors (the Romans)

But Jesus came to destroy the true enemy, satan and his demons, who were doing much more than oppressing people but enslaving humanity

Most of the Jewish ppl weren’t trying to hear that, their vision of a savior as more of a David, a king who ruled in war

But war and violence can only kill the flesh. If the true enemy is spiritual, you can’t use those things to over throw it.

This is why in gethsemane while peters reaction was to attack the Roman soldier with a sword, Jesus’ action was to heal him afterwards.

I get it tho, at this point I’ll probably fight rather than love. But ultimately love is the mandate for a believer.
