I am sure she means well, but white supremacy often manifests in non-obvious ways. The current woke movement (completely spearheaded by the white women, with some support from white men and activist minorities) is an example of white supremacy, where they know what is best for ALL
No one knows it all. Everyone makes mistakes. A little humility and acceptance of opposing viewpoints (or atleast their intentions) can go a long way in dismantling both obvious and subtle bias.
This is easy for me because Hinduism talks about shades of grey (and that no one is perfect), & accepts all opposing views unlike monotheistic religions and their modern offshoots like Atheism or Wokeism. Trust me, the world is more beautiful and realistic when we listen to ALL.
Example 1: (Mostly white or honorary white) Tenured faculty in a biased system, where minorities in the form of cheap labor (most postdocs are foreign or non-white) are exploited at all levels, & yet they do nothing to change it but talk about woke issues & diversity all the time
Ex 2: People like me talking about meritocracy & credentials in India, where most lower caste/poor people have no way to get them. We then talk about the end of caste system, hiring a few token lower caste people, without realizing that only fundamental reforms can empower them.
TL;DR: It is critical that we realize the limitations of our views, and hear well-reasoned criticism. Again, no one knows it all and no one is a saint or a complete sinner. When demon Ravana was at his deathbed, even Lord Rama was ready to learn from him.
