I gave my whole adult life to the concept of protection; that people are human, and deserve basic rights. And guess what? It increasingly appears to have been a fruitless exercise.

Yes, there are individuals that were helped & I’m glad fore that. Such joy, every time a life was protected. What a privileged. But attempting to breath life into a dead horse is a horrifying thing to do, day after day. Enough.

Immigration as we’ve ever known it in America is dead. It doesn’t matter that it was important. Helpful. Made us better as a society. And a humanity. It’s dead. Own it. Realize it. Accept it.
