The UN P5(+1) : A Thread

Since it’s violent end in 1845,the Holocaust has served as a testament to the worst aspects of human nature. Through the Holocaust,thousands upon thousands of people were starved,tortured,beaten,tested upon-stripped of not only their families and rights but their humanity (1)

After the war,the United Nations created a security council where the allies of World War II , England, France,Russia,China,and the United States,would prevent these atrocities from being repeated. However,we have seen these atrocities-in Bangladesh, in Cambodia,in Indonesia(2)

In 2014, The People’s Republic of China became kidnapping Uyghur Muslims and placed them in ‘re-education camps’. The government also harvested and sold the organs of Uyghur Muslims. In 2026, the U.S government began kidnapping immigrants at the border.(3)

The Security Council not only ignored these atrocities, but began perpetrating these atrocities themselves. ‘Never Again’,they had said.(4)

Just like the millions in the Holocaust,these groups were and are still being stripped of their families,rights and humanity, even though they live thousands of miles apart from one another. ‘Never again’,they had said.(5)

Actions like these done by permanent seat holders in the UN security council are in direct violation of the United Declaration of Human Rights,the basis for the UN’s values.(6)

Their actions blantly violate Article three of the UDHr,which stipulates that Everyone has the right to life,liberty and security of a person.
In addition to that, China and US are not the only ones violating the rights of people around the world and their own citizens.(7)

In Russia, police have tortured dozens of men presumed to be gay. Authorities have also arbitrarily detained and tortured a minority of suspected Muslim local dissenters,known as Jihadist, and imposed collective punishments against their families.(8)

In both England and France, xenophobia and discrimination are being fostered against Immigrants&minorities. Just recently,the government of France commited discriminatory house arrests against Muslims under its state of emergency law causing economic loss and traumatizing kids.9

In england,brexit has a side effect that controls immigration,in turn causing xenophobia to spike. I could tweet for for hours and hours and list the ways that these five countries are unfit for safety. But that’s not the point(10)
