For this year in particular, good to review the location of programs! Less on the West coast and a preponderance in the Northeast.
(For what it's worth, I never thought I would be in Texas, but I love it here!!! So worth considering other places

Make sure you can talk about your hobbies! You don't want to be matched w/ a faculty who is avid about something you casually list
