along w signing petitions & donating, non black people need to educate ourselves on racism— imo books from authors who face that racism firsthand are invaluable in this learning process. these are just a few examples of many that hold so much power to educate within their stories
my heart is with fiction but there are certainly wonderful nonfiction works out there too, some of my favorites by Saidiya Hartman (i just am less aware of the nonfiction world in general but if anyone has any recs fiction or not pls add them to this thread)
