There is a certain portion of every fandom that has a 'Small Group Mentality". These people support a group or solo artist during the formative years but leave after the fandom grows because they claim that the artist(s) are too popular. Like making music is not a business.

They join younger group with a much smaller fandom and then go on to complain that their former fandom was too large or had too many fanwars. The new fandom goes gaga and support pours from everywhere. Like this statement even has any meaning.

My question is, when your new fandom grows, would you also seek a smaller group to start over because of your desire to be that core fan. The one that was their first. You put your own unresolved issues on an artist's career.
