Damn, Twitter has its panties in a twist. This is going to be a rant about "tracing" so if you would prefer to browse past this go ahead and I hope u have a wonderful day~

So. Here's my 2 cents on the recent drama that most of you might know.

All of you are hypocrites calling people out for tracing etc etc. Growing up I've traced PLENTY of times, but at the time I didnt have the internet let alone DA to post to. Over the years I graduated from

tracing to straight up referencing images nearly making a flawless copy made by my own hand. Doing both has helped me grow as an artist because of my learning style. I've come to find I either need a physical object or very good references to pop out any kind of decent works.

This was a huge inspiration for me to continue my art and come all the way to where I am today using very little references and i can now make poses from my own head!

Now days you must be careful of what you post.

Please. Ask. Fellow. Artists. Before. You. Ref. Their. Art.

Some people have a talent (and a curse!) To use a reference and accidentally copy it nearly identically.

I used a photo ref and you can clearly see me doing a redraw. If I were to post it and said "I drew this" how many of you

would "call me out" on that?

I'm also gonna say it. Most people this person was referencing have really generic furry styles.

While I agree what was posted looked VERY close to the original I still don't see the traced part of it. As I said above some people have a really

good eye while referencing and can nearly COPY what they're referencing and its a gift and a curse.

Saying you didn't grow up tracing and / or copying your idols growing up are hypocrites and you can keep that to yourself. This mob mentality is absolutely ridiculous and

uncalled for. Shame on you. Not that this thread of an opinion will matter just remember who you attack and how. Not everyone is an adult and you may wind up attacking a child. These issues should be handled PRIVATELY and not publicly because you will get idiots like that
