Let me start off with this. You could be white, purple blue or pink and STILL be mad about the injustice, MURDER, and most of all, Bullshit that happened. Donât let anyone tell you you canât be mad. Everyone should be mad.
Second, I know some of my family will say some shit about this, but I identify as black. MY ETHNICITY/ NATIONALITY is Dominican. Something I canât stand is when Hispanic people DENY their blackness. I even did it for a while, because thatâs all I was told. But thatâs wrong.
Dominicans, Puerto Ricanâs, most of our ancestors are black. And we need to stop acting like they arenât. And a lot of European looking Hispanics think they have some magical pass and end up being racist to black people themselves. THAT SHIT NEEDS TO STOP TOO.
Lastly, I could even claim Iâm not Black and go around saying âoh Iâm Dominican Itâs different.â You know what a racist cop is gonna see different between a Dominican and an African American? NOT SHIT. The ONLY thing they will see is the color of my skin. WHICH IS BLACK.
So if anyone wants to come at someone for being upset about George Floyd or if theyâre any Hispanics who get pressed about what I said. Really look at yourself.
If a racist cop stopped you, would they look at the Dominican flag hanging on your mirror in your car or would they look at your skin tone first?
