Breaking News From 2008:

I have just discovered that one of the attendees at Dylan and Cole Sprouse's Suite 16th Birthday Party, sponsored by Nintendo's Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii, was none other than the man who would become his on-screen dad on Riverdale, Skeet Ulrich.

This news led me down a weird Google hole trying to see if Skeet Ulrich and Cole Sprouse actually talked at any point during the birthday party, or why he, a grown adult, was there at all. As far as I can tell, he maybe showed up for the carpet and that was it?

To that point, there are plenty of pics from the party, but other than two carpet pics of Ulrich, it's all the younger attendees. For example, here's Dylan and Cole Sprouse celebrating their Suite 16th with Selena Gomez and Brenda Song:

In case you don't think I was committed to trying to discover if Skeet Ulrich and Cole Sprouse talked at the latter's birthday party (in 2008), I combed through all four minutes of this footage from Popstar! which is an insane, musical time capsule: https://bit.ly/3elo2Qs 

The closest I came to finding anyone who looked like Skeet Ulrich inside the party was this guy, who is also dressed in a green hat and white shirt. Is it Skeet? I don't know. This footage is from 2008.

So with all that in mind, were the seeds of FP and Jughead's relationship on Riverdale planted on that fateful night in 2008, perhaps over a game of Mario's Super Sluggers for the Wii? I guess we'll never know.
