Everyone I know enjoyed Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson. Indeed, it is a fun whodunnit, filled with gags and mistery. A charming sweater movie, if you will.

But there is something very weird about it.

Let me elaborate. Jonathan Lynn (JL) is a writer/director from Bath, in England.

He is mostly known as the writer of the show ‘Yes Minister’, that aired in BBC. (3/n)

BUT, he also wrote and directed CLUE (1985), a whodonnit movie set in a big and fancy house.

I’ll repeat: a murder mistery set in a fancy house. Okay.

It’s obvious that Knives Out drank on this fountain. It’s a whodunnit after all... (4/n)

BUT (and here is where my take gets HOT), JL also directed GREEDY (1994), a movie that is about:

A FAMILY WHOSE RICH FATHER FIGURE, AN OLD MAN PLAYED BY A PRESTIGED ACTOR, IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH HIS WILL.

And things get complicated when his NURSE (!) gets in the story. (5/n)
