Today is the last day of #NPC2020. The NPC is expect to approve the draft Hong Kong National Security Decision ~3pm local time. The final text is expected to be released tonight.

Several reminders:

1. This Decision itself isn’t the national security law that will be applied in HK. It does authorize the NPC Standing Committee to draft and adopt one.

2. We don’t know what the actual national security law will look like, including how the crimes would be defined and whether the law would be retroactive. The NPC Standing Committee could review a draft as early as late June, barring any special session before then.
