ATO is just a neat way of saying, this train drives itself and you're kinda right

there will always be someone to check if the train is doing its thing right (tube drviers) or in the case of the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) you got the Passenger Service Agents)
So how it all works, Vehicle On Board Controller (VOBC) screams at Vehicle Control Centre (VCC) to tell it where its at then it screams back at the VOBC saying train ahead or M A X S P E E D

so what happens when the VOBC isn't happy? well one thing can save the day
axle counters coming to save the day, these little boxes can also scream at the VCC saying where trains are

think of it as a back up for when the VOBC decides to have a day off

ALSO FULL SPEED MANUAL LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (Or Protected Manual)
i feel like something is missing from this thread

uhh Jubilee Line is the best line, 96 and S Stock are the best Underground trains
