Ok, some unsolicited thoughts on #georgefloyd
1. Racism exists. Accept it. As long as sin exists, racism has and will continue to exist.
2. The officers who brutally murdered a black man on the streets of Minneapolis should not only be fired, but they should also be charged.

3. Please don’t tell me that they had to use excessive force because...” you never know what could happen.” There were four men on top of George Floyd. Unless he is Captain America, then he is not going anywhere. Oh, did I mention he was handcuffed?
4. Racism is evil and Christians should speak out against the evils and injustices that happen as a result of racism.
5. Please stop using the phrase “I don’t see color.” People usually speak this phrase as some form of virtue signaling. As a white male

I have the privilege to not think about the color of my skin. There has never been a day in my life that I have been fearful of the police or anyone else simply because of the color of my skin.
6. If you’re white, you never have the right to tell a black person how to feel in regards to racism.
7. There are lot of brave men and women who put on a badge and uniform, kiss their family goodbye and walk out the door knowing there is a real chance they may not come home. Those people are awesome, and we should honor them.
8. There are also evil men and women who wear a badge that are not good cops, and they should be called out and not allowed to have such a great responsibility.
9. Believing that there are good cops and corrupt cops is not a mutually exclusive idea.

10. Should we place police on a pedestal because of what they do? Yes, but that should come with higher accountability. I wouldn’t want to protect another pastor that I know has or is abusing their position as a pastor because I have a high calling that demands integrity.
