we as non-black people need to do more than just 'say' we support BLM. we need to callout anti-blackness in our own communities- an off-hand anti-black comment might seem "small" to you, but those comments feed into & maintain the culture of anti-blackness that enables murderers.

also: we need to be careful to amplify black voices on black issues, rather than speaking over them... i hope i never do that but 100% please call me out if i ever do
of course — this is a starting point & (as noted in the linked thread above) there are a lot of other things you can do (donating, petitions, etc) but i think this is the most fundamental and overlooked basic starting point
