On the day that the United States reached the 100,000 death toll by @JHUSystems:
All in < 90 days. (February 28th was the 1st)
The country stands alone in the world —not just on this graph of loss of American lives—but also as the only country with no plan.
Most of the 1st 100,000+ deaths were unnecessary.
First there was no testing capacity for 60 days
So No #TestTraceIsolate to get ahead of it.
Then there was delayed stay-at-home, mitigation.
Now another 100,000 deaths are projected in 90 days
With no national, coordinated plan
The next 100,000 deaths projection.
Where are we?
Without: leadership, massive testing & tracing capability, any accountability
With: premature reopening
Watching the loss of our fellow Americans as if we're in the 3rd world. Helpless. It's beyond belief. https://twitter.com/EricTopol/status/1265425011281543170
