Okay alright! Process for sketching yoongo, here we go.

correcting my previous mistakes in order to sketch it on canvas and paint it later on.
Also reminder that they are multiple sketching methods, this one works for me but it might not work for you and that's okay, finding what works for you is also part of the process (I think) !

So! First of, I try to get the picture on a screen at the scale I want to sketch it (or print it, but I don't have ink anymore so a screen works fine) and I use my pencil to check the angles and the lengths of things. Like that I start to map out the face.
What works for me is to find the shadows and the lights, to find the shapes in the face (that's something I've learned from doing underpaintings and sketching in oil paints directly, you need to see forms more than details, details don't matter here yet
For example here the mouth is off cause I didn't pay enough attention to the shape ahah
(but I fixed it later on so it's okay) but if you look at the eyes I tried to build a form, to sketch shapes more than eyes. Details come after.

I'm building my sketch like that, constantly checking the reference. Trying to see how each line/shape is working with the others. For example the shoulder on the left I placed it to high at first, the line it creates arrives above the tip of the nose (idek if I make sense sorry)
Now usually all of that I do quite faintly on the paper but because I wanted to take pics I needed the camera to show the lines.. So when usually a quick erasing with a kneading eraser works, here I had to really erase it fully with a regular eraser. It worked fine tho, all that-
to say I erase the sketch until I get like a ghost version of it and that way I can get a clearer/cleaner sketch! Kind of like you would do with layers in digital art (?)
And then that's it! I'm done! (It'd be ready to be painted if it was on canvas..)

I don't know if that was helpful in any way to you but since I'm way to nervous to film the process this will have to do.. I hope you could at least get a few tips out of it or something idk
(And I'm sorry if I made typos/if I'm not clear in my explanation I'm really tired rn)
