Three stories involving unarmed white victims of police aggression that almost none of you have heard of. National conversation on police behavior would be far more constructive if identity politics wasn’t the focus. There are many more stories like these since white people being killed by police are the majority of people killed by police every year. A national conversation on this data, & ways to improve it for all, could be productive. But that’s too nuanced & useful for social media.
You can add your own stories below. There are tons of them that don’t get social media attention & go viral at all. Important to note in the Dallas story the police officers had charges dropped and not only that, they kept their jobs.
Most police do a great job under very trying circumstances every single day. A small minority do not. When they break the law, they should be charged. I think media makes relationships between police & those they try to serve & protect worse by almost exclusively focusing on race
