Why you should listen to the Love Live songs and why they're amazing !
First group : µ's !
Honoka Kousaka (Nitta Emi)
Kotori Minami (Uchida Aya)
Umi Sonoda (Mimori Suzuko)
Maki Nishikino (Pile)
Rin Hoshizora (Iida Riho)
Hanayo Koizumi (Kubo Yurika)
Eli Ayase (Nanjou Yoshino)
Nozomi Tojo (Kusuda Aina)
Nico Yazawa (Tokui Sora)
Their songs paved the way for the franchise. They started low, selling only a 100 copies of their first album. But they always persevered, they knew they had something special. And they were right. They started back in 2010, 10 years ago.
And the Seiyuus, or voice actresses, also perform live. Some of them had to learn to perform like that, others were already trained for it. It's extra difficult for those who have to sing in their character's voice. But it's worth it in my opinion.
They also have three sub-units.
The first one, Printemps, is composed of Honoka, Kotori and Hanayo. It's a sub-unit that mostly puts its focus on cute songs, with the high pitched voices of Kotori and Hanayo. If you like their voices, go for it !
The second one is BiBi, with Nico, Eli and Maki. This sub-unit is more about fierce and fast songs. But their slow ballads are also worth a listen, no doubt about it !
The last one, Lily White (and my favorite) is composed of Umi, Rin and Nozomi. They mostly specialize in ballads. Umi's strong voice, Rin's clear voice and Nozomi's harmonization makes this sub-unit really stand out.
As a last post about µ's before we move on, they came back this year, 10 years after their debut, with a new song, to thank the fans after staying with them for so long. And to keep going on, µ'sic forever !
2nd group : Aqours
Chika Takami (Inami Anju)
Riko Sakurauchi (Aida Rikako)
Kanan Matsuura (Suwa Nanaka)
Dia Kurosawa (Komiya Arisa)
You Watanabe (Saitou Shuka)
Yoshiko Tsushima(Kobayashi Aika)
Hanamaru Kunikida(Takatsuki Kanako)
Mari Ohara(Suzuki Aina)
Ruby Kurosawa (Furihata Ai)
In the beginning of 2016, their first song came out, alongside the anime. They were the second generation of Love Live, and the torch was passed onto them. Of course, it was an immediate success, thanks to µ's work to start out the franchise.
Their lives sold out tons of amazing stadiums. And the lightsticks in the crowd shine bright, mostly based on the colors of their favorite girl, since each of them has their specific color ! Some lightsticks even have all 9 colors, to make it easier !
If you ask me, Aqours is a lot stronger vocally than µ's. There is no weird vocals from any of them. Some may strain their voices singing a little bit too high, but even then, that's not something that's easily noticeable.
Their first sub-unit is CYaRon, composed of Chika, You and Ruby. Like with Printemps, their songs capitalize on their high pitched voices. If you like these type of voices, this is for you. If you don't, don't worry, there's something for everyone !
AZALEA is their second sub-unit, with Dia, Kanan and Hanamaru. This is mostly the wild card of the sub-units. Their style changes from one song to the other, they're very versatile. From Galaxy Hide and Seek to Setsugyou desu ne, every song is a surprise!
Their last sub-unit, and my favorite, is Guilty Kiss. Mari, Yohane and Riko make a fantastic trio based mostly on rock and metal based music. Heavy guitars, heavier vocals. These three are truly the definition of vocal powerhouse.
As a Guilty Kiss bonus, their live version of Strawberry Trapper. These girls always bring the fans to a frenzy, and with good reasons. I want to headbang at their concert too !
Before we leave Aqours, another group was also introduced in their anime, Saint Snow.
Tano Asami as Sarah Kazuno and Satou Hinata as Leah Kazuno.
They are one of the best vocalists I've ever heard. Their live version is better than the studio version.
Aqours definitely put the franchise to higher heights, and it's no wonder we have another generation. These girls have talent from their head down to their toes. And I'm proud of their work.
3rd group : Nijigasaki

Ayumu Uehara (Onishi Aguri)
Kasumi Nakasu (Sagara Mayu)
Shizuku Osaka (Maeda Kaori)
Karin Asaka (Kubota Miyu)
Ai Miyashita (Murakami Natsumi)
Kanata Kanoe (Kitou Akari)
Setsuna Yuki (Kusunoki Tomori)
Emma Verde (Sashide Maria)
Rina Tennoji (Tanaka Chiemi)
Their group is different however. They are 9 solo artists who are in the same club. And they only have 2 group songs as a whole. They also have 2 solo songs each. This is still the beginning for them after all.
Since I'm not gonna link you all 9 solo songs, I'm gonna go directly in the sub-units !
The first one, and my favorite, is DiverDiva ! A duo of Karin and Ai who's gonna rock your world. Karin's sultry voice and Ai's fast rap ? I'm sold !
The second, A · ZU · NA, is a trio of Ayumu, Setsuna and Shizuku. Three of the most powerful vocalists of the franchise, I have high hopes for this sub-unit in the future !
The last sub-unit, a quartet with Emma, Kanata, Rina and Kasumi, is fittingly called QU4RTZ !
Their sweet and soft voices are quite soothing and they can definitely become my favorite sub-unit if the next songs are as good, if not better !
To finish this thread, I know there are over 150+ songs, and I can't possibly link them all.
So if you read until here, first of all thank you, and if you want to ask me more, my DMs are open.
I'm quite knowledgeable in the entire franchise and the songs, so don't hesitate !
This franchise saved my life, quite literally. After... let's say after I gave up on life, it showed me that life was worth living. A light in the darkness that I lived in everyday.

I'll be forever grateful to the Love Live franchise, and I hope I'll grow old with it. <3
